Monday, Sept. 26, Burapha – Stableford

With a group of Outback Australians at Siam Plantation playing in the Singha Amazing Thailand tournament, it was back to the A & B course at Burapha for our regular Monday crew.

(L-R) Steve Mann, Gerard Lambert and Eddie Beilby.

In fourth place today with 35 points was John Langley and with 37 points and all places determined by count back, Peter Nixon took third place, Carl Luke was second and the winner today was Jim Brackett who scored better on the last 6 holes.

Jimmy Little and ex-pro Rob Mitchell each recorded a birdie ‘2’.

Wednesday, Sept. 28, Bangpra – Stableford

With Bangpra fully recovered after the dry season fiasco, we were eager to get back on course and take on the monkeys.  Feedback from the guys are that the greens were not lightning quick as they can be here, but you still had to be on the right side of the hole to avoid 3 putts.

Welcome back and thanks as well to Steve Mann for helping with the organization of the day’s event.

In fourth place was Eddy Beilby, in the prizes again with 30 points while taking third was the aforementioned Steve Mann with 31.  A point better and in the runner-up position was Urs Stegman with 32 and the day’s winner was Gerard Lambert with 33 points.

Friday, Sept. 30, Green Valley – Stableford

With Green Valley recovering fast it should be almost back to normal for our monthly medal this coming Friday.  Feedback from the players was that the course is recovering well from the coring and already much improved from the previous week.

In fifth place this week with 33 points was John Langley while one point better in fourth was Sugar Ray Handford.  Andy Makara is on his way back to better golf after a bad low season and 37 points today earned him third place on the podium.  Always in the prizes, Eddie Beilby beat Andy on count back to finish second, and in first place, maintaining his good form after our Hua Hin tour was John Stafford with a great 38 points.

Only one ‘2’ recorded by the group today, coming from Tom Hislop who is out here on a visit.
