A first-time Chinese visitor called his trip to Pattaya a nightmare after having his uber-expensive gold chain snatched from around his neck.
Yang Jinsheng, 30, said he was walking near the Grand Sole Hotel on Second Road around 9:30 p.m. when he was accosted by a transvestite who flirted with him before grabbing the gold chain, valued at 104,000 baht.
Police tried to find the culprit on likely escape routes, but failed and hope that security cameras will help them identify the thief.
