Director Natcha Kaokrajang led a Nov. 4 seminar for Pattaya-area residents on how to create borneol from camphor with the idea that residents could sell the reduced solution for extra income.

Borneol is used both in traditional Chinese medicine and is a natural insect repellant.

The sub-district also donated 1,000 bottles of borneol to the Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization to hand out at the province’s Institute of Physical Education earlier this month.

Another 500 bottles each went to the Banglamung Elderly Club and Banglamung Red Cross.
