Students at Garden International School (GIS) had special PSHE lessons this term.
Instead of weekly lessons, there was one “collapsed morning” for students in Years 7 to 9, where a series of topics were covered in detail. These included lots of group work, discussions, and a guest speaker from the Camillian Centre in Ban Chang, which cares for children and adults with HIV/AIDS.
Other issues tackled included dealing with bullying and making friends. GIS is based in Ban Chang near Pattaya. Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) is a part of the curriculum at GIS.
