Coffee shop owner brings lunch to poor kids

A Pattaya coffee shop owner treated disadvantaged Pattaya children to lunch at the Kophai Community Children’s Home.

Jantra Airmic, owner of Coffee House, brought fried rice, coconut noodles, snacks, and milk for the 19 children at the Kophai Soi 12 shelter, which cares for children of parents who have no time to do so due to work commitments.

Jantra also presented community Secretary Kanthana Pornchai with a 3,000 donation to the center’s lunch fund.

She said she makes lunch for the kids once a month, but the Nov. 7 meal and donation where made in honor of HM the late King.

Kanthana said parents who are able, pay 100 baht per day for their children’s food and care, but some are too poor to pay. In those cases, the center covers all costs through donations.
