Participants held up black and white cards in formation to spell out the Thai numeral 9 and a message that read “You will be in Maryvit’s heart forever”.

A procession of flowers and reading of King Rama IX’s biography followed. The Nov. 7 ceremony closed with everyone observing 89 seconds of silence, one for each of the late monarch’s years.

School licensee Chuan Kittikiattisak delivered the mourning speech and led the group in singing of the Royal Anthem.

School Principal Sirina Poyprakone said the event was organized to allow Maryvit students and staff mourn His Majesty and guide them to follow the example he set.
