A lovesick foreigner was rescued after apparently trying to kill himself by jumping from the second floor at a Pattaya mall.
The unidentified foreigner climbed over the railing at Central Festival Pattaya Beach Nov. 24 where he hung for about five minutes as rescuers frantically tried to calm him down.
The security staffers eventually pulled him up to safety.
The tense episode was eagerly videoed and uploaded by a Facebook user more hungry for “likes” and public acclamation than aiding the distressed man in his 40s.
The man told authorities that he was heartbroken and upset over other personal matters.
