Police and rescue were called to the scene of an accident at the Ruamchoke Tunnel around midnight on November 29, 2016. They found a gray Honda Accord that had hit the guardrail with so much impact it had gone under the guardrail slicing off the roof and crumpling the front end.
Inside police found the body of 35 year old Teerasak Chungchant whose body was wedged so tightly into the car that it took the rescue team over 20 minutes to cu he body out of the car.
Police believe the driver was going at a very high speed when he lost control and hit the guard rail. Police found a bottle of alcohol in the car. The body was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Hospital Chiang Mai Hospital for his relatives to claim the deceased.
