For the second time the Thai Garden Resort received the Gold Award from Green Hotels.
The philosophy of the Thai Garden Resort is to operate the hotel with as minimal as possible impact on the environment.
Therefore the hotel makes use of solar panels to heat the water for the use in the guest rooms, collects the warm air that the walk-in freezers and refrigerators produce, and re-uses that hot air to warm up water. They also filter and re-use shower water to spray the gardens, among many other implementations to stay environmentally friendly.
“We all have to do our part to pass on our environment in a good shape to our children,” is the motto of the management.
The Gold Award, issued on World Environment Day by the Thai government department of environment, presented by General Surasak Karnjanarat, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand, was awarded to only 27 hotels in Thailand, and being one of the recipients has made us very proud.
