Tuesday, Dec. 20, The Emerald – Stableford
On Tuesday we went to The Emerald and found the course and greens in mostly good condition. It was pity there were some wet places on the fairways caused by the sprinklers but to compensate we had nice weather and a cool breeze.
Stuart Banks (H/cap 22) showed his good form already the previous week and today he presented the follow up, winning with 38 points. In second came Willem Lasonder (20) with 35 points.
The near pins today were won by Joop Bijsterbosch and Paddy Devereux.
Thursday, Dec. 22, Treasure Hill – Stableford
Treasure Hill was our venue for Thursday and it is always a pleasure to play this great course which was this day in very good condition. The weather was sunny once again with a nice breeze.
We had again a neck on neck race between Stuart Banks and Willem Lasonder and again it was Stuart who proved more consistent than Willem, taking the win with a strong 42 points on this difficult layout. Willem rolled in second with 39 points and Joop Bijsterbosch was third with 31.
The near pin awards were claimed by Neil Harvey (twice) and Paddy Devereux.
