Free rides on the Pattaya-Hua Hin ferry will be available through Jan. 31 after the company delayed its official launch due to voyage cancellations caused by stormy conditions.Royal Passenger Lines said Jan. 11 the “grand opening” was delayed until further notice. It was originally scheduled for Jan. 12.
Free rides will be offered through the end of this month and, during February tickets will be only 999 baht, instead of the normal 1,250 baht.
Company Director Preecha Thanthipura said many of the test runs during January had to be cancelled due to high seas and strong wind. Many people were disappointed, so the company decided to offer many more opportunities to try the new service for free.
