Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
This week we welcomed friends from Holland, who are playing with us for 2 weeks. We also welcomed Dave Smith after a few months of absence.
Tuesday, Jan. 17, Pattavia – Stableford
On Tuesday we went to Pattavia and found the course in good condition, but the greens as always were very difficult and the bunkers need more maintenance. We had nice weather and it was a lovely day to play golf.
Neil Harvey (H/cap 17) showed today the most consistency and won with 36 stableford points. Second was Jonathan Pratt (14) with 33 points and Joop Bijsterbosch came third with 32.
There were only 2 near pins claimed today, both by David Smith.
Thursday, Jan. 19, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
We went with 3 groups to Pleasant Valley on Thursday and it had been a long time since we last played here. The course was in good condition but there were a few wet spots here and there, the bunkers were not really up to scratch and the greens played a bit slow. It was a nice sunny day with a cool breeze and good conditions to play golf.
Jonathan Pratt was the star of the day as he won by a landslide with 43 points. In second place was Daniel Oshiro (20) with 35 points and Neil Harvey took third with 32.
Nears pins were won by David Smith, Joop Bijsterbosch and Jonathan Pratt.
