The new Constitution which was approved in a referendum last year is now ready to be submitted to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun for endorsement after the completion of amendments on provisions regarding the Monarchy as wished by the King.
President of the National Legislative Assembly and a member of the special panel tasked with amending the new charter, Mr Pornpetch Wichitcholachai said Monday that Deputy Prime Minister Wisanu Krea-ngarm would be responsible for clarifying the amendments after a meeting of the panel within this week.
He said that the office of the secretary-general of the cabinet would decide when the amended charter would be submitted to the Palace and whether or not this could be done within February 18.
