Deputy Prime Minister visits Mae On to view bridge reconstruction

Deputy Prime Minister General Thanasak Patimaprakorn visited Huay Sua in Mae On district to view the reconstruction of the Huay Sua Bridge after it was damaged in flash floods last September.

The Deputy Prime Minister was joined by a committee of inspectors from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Interior and spoke to the residents in the area about the damage.

Ms. Pataraporn Laijud, Mae-on District Chief said that the bridge had been severely damaged after flash floods; major sections of the bridge had been so badly damaged residents were prevented from crossing. The Chiang Mai government approved an emergency budget of 2.3 million baht to undergo immediate repairs.

Mae On was established as a district in 1994, has 6 Tambon government organizations and 49 communities over 442.3 square kilometers.
