Fire at construction camp leave workers homeless

Fire broke out in a building housing construction worker on Thung Hotel Road on March 9, 2016 while the workers were away at the construction site. The two story building was severely damaged and residents of the 32 rooms lost their belongings in the fire that took over an hour for firefighters to put out.

Seven fire engines rushed to the scene of the blaze that started in a room on the ground floor. Estimates at losses are at around 800,000 baht. The residents of the building returned to the scene of the fire, some wept openly as they lost all their belongings.

Fire investigators will check the building to find the cause of the fire.
