Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
Monday & Tuesday, March 13-14, Soi Dao G.C. – Stableford
We went this week on Monday and Tuesday to play the Soi Dao Highland course. It was a good trip and the course was in very good shape. The weather was also nice with a cool breeze to keep things comfortable.
We played our first round Monday afternoon and had no spectacular results, but it was exciting until the last hole who would be the winner. Jonathan Pratt (15) emerged in top spot with 33 stableford points, beating George Gamble (29) on the count back. In third came Paul Davies with 32 points.
The second day started in the morning and we expected some better results. It was Dave Smith’s (13) day as he took advantage of now knowing the course to win with 36 stableford points. In second was Patrick Devereux (22) with 32 points and Willem Lasonder (24) took third with 31, beating Sam Gettinby (28) on count back.
Thursday, March 16, Khao Kheow – Stableford
Khao Keow was our venue on Thursday and we went there with 2 groups. We played the B and C courses which were in good condition with nice fairways and fast greens on the B course but slow greens on the C side.
Jonathan Pratt played a consistent round and won with 35 points, four up on Willem Lasonder in second with 31, who beat Dave Smith on count back.
The near pins went to Willem Lasonder, Jonathan Pratt and Stan Rees.
