We had 19 players today for Green Valley today with 18 in the comp. The course was still very soft after the previous day’s rain so we the ‘lift, clean and cheat’ ruling on the fairways.
The field was split into two flights and in the top division Gary Emmett came out a clear winner with 38 points, three ahead of Jim Bracket in second and a further point up on Peter Petersen in third.
B Flight saw Aidan Murray in the gold medal position with 37 points while two points behind Dave Ferris took second on a count back over the Donkey.
Monday, April 3, Greenwood A & B – Stableford

Greenwood was today’s challenge with 13 players out in 2 flights. There was no stopping Torben Lindgaard in B Flight as he stormed around the course in 6 under par to notch 42 points on his scorecard. Torben was seven clear of Odd Holm-Hansen in second place.
Bob Stokes recorded an even par 36 points to take the honours in A Flight, just two ahead of ‘golden oldie’ Peter Kelly.
Wednesday, April 5, Royal Lakeside – Stableford
A Flight

A good turnout at Royal Lakeside for this time of the year with 16 players divided into two flights. The weather was perfect, a little overcast but dry, and the course was in its normal excellent condition.
Kevin McEntee recovered well from his hip operation to record the best round of his life, making a mockery of his 10 handicap with 24 points on each side (with 4 birdies & 2 bogies) for 48 points in total. Bob Stokes posted a fine score of 39 points but was a full nine points behind Kevin in the standings.
Tore Eliassen came home with 38 points to win the B Flight, just one up on Barry Oats in second.
Friday, April 7, Crystal Bay B & C – Stableford
1st Kevin McEntee (10) 43pts
2nd Tip Briney (25) 39pt
Near Pins: Kevin McEntee, Rune Askdal

Three 4-balls out today at Crystal Bay where the course was very quiet and it was straight off once we had sorted out the caddies and carts.
Kevin McEntee tore it up once again to streak clear of the field and take the win with a mammoth 43 points. Tip Briney was the best of the rest as he came home with 39 points to occupy the second spot on the podium.
