Pattaya gears up for national wushu championships 2017

Ornwara Korapin, Director of the Tourism Promotion Office, chaired a meeting on April 11 at Pattaya City Hall to prepare for the 15th Wushu Thailand Championships 2017.  Other attendees included representatives from organizations involved and Pattaya City councilors.  The objectives were to talk about the location, medical coverage and security measures for the event.  The championships will take place from April 29-30 at Pattaya School 7.

Wushu is both an exhibition and a full-contact sport derived from traditional Chinese activities and the practice of martial arts.

This edition will see twice as many athletes taking part than in previous years and will also include competitors from the Thai Chi Association of Japan.

The official press conference will take place at 3pm on April 24 April at Fountain Zone, Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya and anyone interested in martial arts performances is encouraged to attend.
