The organizers of the Pattaya Classic Car Show thanked city leaders and police who helped make the event a success.
Organizer Peerasan Wongsri, along with Classic Car Club officers and Radchada Chomjinda, director of the Human Help Network Thailand, visited Pattaya City Hall April 27 to express gratitude for the city’s support of the recent show, which raised 400,000 baht for charity.
The show attracted 90 classic cars from across the country and drew 1,200 spectators and car lovers who paid both entrance fees and tickets for dinner.
This year the funds collected were directed to the HHN which is caring for large numbers of children who are in need in education, food and a place to live. The 400,000 baht raised will be used to purchase books and educational equipment as well as cover daily expenses.
Peerasan presented flowers to Ornwara Kornpin, director of the Tourism Promotion Department, and mayoral representative Teerasak Jathupong.
Teerasak said that Pattaya was more than happy to support the event, which was highly beneficial to society, especially the kids who are need of support. They will wholeheartedly support future events as well, he said.
After visiting city hall, the group moved on to Pattaya Police Station along with 15 children from the HHN to thank the chief.
Unfortunately he wasn’t available, but was represented by Pol. Lt. Prasom Boonma, who received the flowers instead.
The officer also congratulated the organizers on their success and their warm support to the local community. They were more than happy to assist in traffic and others roles and are happy to support future events as well.
