Manas Thongmak, the victim of road rage violence in Pattaya, went to jail instead of the hospital for allegedly firing a handgun into the air.

The arrest came after Manas was leaving his narrow soi with a vehicle following him. The transgender driver was coming the opposite direction and the two vehicles met at a sharp corner.

Both drivers insisted the other back up, but Manas got out of his car and pointed out he was blocked by another vehicle behind him. An argument ensued and Manas said the woman slapped him in the face. Two other Thai men suddenly appeared and bludgeoned him with motorcycle helmets.

Manas admitted he ran back to his car, pulled out his gun and fired shots into the air to scare off his attackers. The tactic worked, but police didn’t applaud.

Police currently are looking for the transgender driver and her henchmen.
