Tuesday, April 25, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
We took a trip to Pleasant Valley on Tuesday and it was a nice day with a cooling breeze. The course was in good condition and presented ideal circumstances for good scores, but despite all this we had no top performers today.
There was a neck on neck race between Dave Smith (H/cap 10) and Neil Harvey (15) for first place, with Dave edging it on 34 points and Neil taking second with 33.
The near pin prizes went to Dave and Jonathan Pratt.
Thursday, April 27, The Emerald – Stableford
On Thursday we went to The Emerald and the course was in perfect shape. The weather in the morning was quite good but we played the last few holes in rain.
Once again we had a close battle between Dave Smith and Neil Harvey but this time Neil kept his concentration to win with 38 points, just one ahead of Dave.
The near pins were won by Paddy Devereux, Dave Smith, Willy Hogg and Jonathan Pratt.
