Washington D.C., 5 May 2017 – Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai has attended the Special ASEAN-US Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Washington D.C., which marked the 40th anniversary of ASEAN-US relations.
Both sides discussed key regional and international issues, as well as other matters of mutual interest. The meeting underscored the importance of the ASEAN-US relationship as a foundation for stability and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
During the visit, the minister joined a bilateral meeting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to reaffirm longstanding relations and discuss ways to strengthen Thai-American ties.
The minister also met with prominent US businesspeople at a reception hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC).
