Turtle center opens accessible restrooms

The Sea Turtle Conservation Center became more accessible for the disabled with the opening of modern restrooms.

Rear Adm. Eagarat Prom­lumpug, commander of the Air and Coastal Defense Command, which runs the Sattahip center, cut the ribbon on new facilities May 5.

He said the center gets many visitors, both young and old, but had no wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities. The navy partnered with the Ferrari Owner’s Club of Thailand, Prima Marine (Public) Co., and Thai Oil Plc. to fund construction of the restrooms.

Sor. Sinnarapanich Ltd. began construction April 6.
