Somsak Theerapattanakul, managing director for Foodland Supermarket Ltd., cut the ribbon on the 1,200-sq.-meter store, the chain’s 21st store in Thailand in the former motorcycle parking garage in Royal Garden Plaza May 15.

Somsak said there are many supermarket chains vying for customers but Foodland has earned a good reputation, especially among foreigners due to its large selection of international products available 24 hours a day.

Somsak said Foodland sees great potential in Pattaya that would lead it to opening more branches. A third branch is set for under-construction Terminal 21 shopping mall in North Pattaya.
