Sunday, May 14, Green Valley – Medal

We were told there was an 85 per cent chance of rain today and there were many dark clouds with lightning and thunder attached as we approached Rayong Green Valley. But it never materialized into rain, and we got off the tee box on time.
A hot and humid was endured by all, but it did not deter Peter ‘The right honorable’ LeNoury from winning the monthly medal for May with a net 70. Peter received a lead crystal engraved whiskey goblet, a bottle of Jameson’s Irish whiskey, an invitation to the yearend gold medal and of course his name will be etched on to the Lewiinskis wall of shame.
Stuart Evans followed Peter up the podium steps with a net 72.
Friday, May 19, Siam Old Course – Stroke
1st Gabriel Enright (20) net 74
2nd Marcus Earp (22) net 74
3rd Walter Baechli (15) net 75
Today we played the Siam Old Course, and as one would expect the course was in great condition. As a bonus to the players it did not rain, although it threatened a few times.
The man of the match honours went to the recently returned Gabriel the ‘thunder from Down under’ Enright with a net 74, but first he needed to win a count back over Marcus Earp. One of the nicest and most effervescent personalities, Walter Baechli, closed the flight with a net 75.
Starting in June, Lewiinskis will play the sports days at Siam: Mondays we will play Siam Planation, Wednesday at Waterside and Fridays we will play the Old Course. Everyone welcome!
