The Pattaya Bluewater Sailing Club sponsored a day-sail early February on a 40ft catamaran. The yacht easily accommodated 10 members and everyone brought their lunch and favorite beverage.
Light winds necessitated using the engine in the morning to get to the lunch time anchorage off of Koh Sak. Many areas of Koh Sak still have live coral that supports many varieties of tropical fish and everyone enjoyed the snorkeling off the island.
The 40ft catamaran chartered by the Pattaya Bluewater Sailing Club.
Some of the members also enjoyed using the yacht’s kayak to explore the shores of the island nearby while other members were taken to the beach in the yacht’s dinghy. The beach on Koh Sak now has a fully operational restaurant.
The wind picked up in the early afternoon and the yacht weighed anchor for the sail back to the mainland.
This yacht has sleeping accommodations for 8 and the club plans on sponsoring a 4 day sailing cruise down to Koh Samet in the next couple of months.
