Sunday, May 21, Green Valley – Stableford
1st Kevin O’Sullivan (15) 39pts
2nd Ken Hole (19) 37pts

Back at Green Valley today on a course which is in very poor condition at the moment. Despite this, the standard of golf from our group was well improved from our last few outings.
Kevin O’Sullivan had what I think was his first ever outright win with us and he did it by scoring an excellent thirty nine points, which also included a ‘2’. Ken Hole played his usual steady golf and today he came second two points behind Kevin and Stuart Brown also played very steady and took the third spot with thirty six. Laurie Dixon was playing his first ever game with us and he got off to a good start as he came in fourth with thirty four points, which also included a ‘2’.
After having no two’s for the past few weeks today we had three today, Russell Gilroy getting one along with Kevin and Laurie.
Tuesday, May 23, Mt. Shadow – Stableford
1st Craig Hitchens (14) 37pts
2nd Pat Carty (27) 36pts
3rd Shaun Merriman (11) 33pts
We were back with our friends from the PFGS at what is one of our favorite courses, Mountain Shadow. It started out as a beautiful day although all the caddies said it was definitely going to rain, and it certainly looked like it for most of the round but it fortunately passed us by.
We all decided to play off the white tees today as the course was going to be playing long. Craig Hitchens, who is playing very steady at the moment, was the winner again with a fine thirty seven points. Pat Carty had what would best be described as an up and down round as although he blanked six holes he still had thirty six points to come second and also recorded the only ‘2’ of the day. Shaun Merriman came third with thirty three points, edging out Russell Gilroy on count back.
Thursday, May 25, Burapha – Stableford
1st Ken Hole (19) 38pts
2nd Joe Peters (21) 36pts
3rd John Fenwick (18) 36pts
4th Jon Batty (7) 35pts
We played the A and B courses here today and again off the white tees as it was playing long after all the rain. The course was in absolutely beautiful condition with perfect fairways and greens and a pleasure to play. It was also another beautiful day for golf, not too hot with no rain and the course virtually to ourselves
Ken Hole kept up his good golf and was the winner with thirty eight points, two ahead of Joe Peters and John Fenwick in second and third respectively. Jon Batty didn’t quite keep up to the standard of his golf earlier in the week but still took the fourth and last place on the podium with thirty five points. Peter Henshaw had the only ‘2’ of the day.
