A drunk Russian couple spent the night behind bars after refusing to take a breathalyzer test and arguing with Pattaya police.
The unidentified couple was pulled over at a Thappraya Road checkpoint May 29. Police said they saw the woman driving the Toyota Altis, but she switched seats with her husband before they arrived at the police stop.
The belligerent Russian man refused to step out of his car and accused the police of being fake. He then demanded to talk to the commander and bragged that he knew high-ranking officers and should be let go. He wasn’t.
After 30 minutes, the couple was taken to Pattaya Police Station where they continued to argue and refuse the breath test. Fed up cops put the two in the drunk tank.
