A naval aviation unit handed out 100,000 baht in scholarships to military families.
Rear Adm. Eakaraj Porahomlampak, commander of the Air and Coastal Defense Command, presided over the June 1 ceremony organized by the Department of Combat Aircraft Area 2 June 1 in Sattahip.
The department monitors the financial situation of its personnel and annual gives out scholarships for children of unit families. This year 39 students qualified for the stipends: nine for kindergarten, 18 for primary school and 12 for high school.
The 129,000 baht in grants were given to good students with high grades and demonstrated financial need.
