Thai and American sailors belted out classic tunes for about three hours as the U.S. Navy’s 7th Fleet Band played at Royal Garden Plaza earlier this month.
The June 4 performance outside the Pattaya mall by 50 U.S. and Royal Thai Navy sailors drew a large crowd that enjoyed the mix of rock and pop tunes.
The 7th Fleet Band led by Lt. Guy Gress was joined by the Duriyang Sattahip Band for the performance.
The U.S. sailors are in and around Thailand for approximately three months and are using their spare time to play music for the public. Sailors are also using their shore leave positively to visit schools, orphanages, foundations and other organizations.
