Sunday, June 4, Green Valley – Stableford

1st Don Lehmer (18) 35pts

2nd Mogens Melander (18) 34pts

3rd Barry Tregurtha (21) 34pts

4th Mick Beresford (18) 33pts

A good sized field of golfers set out for the always popular venue at Green Valley in the middle of a light shower, firmly believing that everything would work out fine in the end.  There were not disappointed as the weather cleared up almost as soon as the first group teed off, however, the rain had left the course very wet so ‘lift and place’ was the order of the day.

There was one flight today with four podium spots up for grabs.  The scribe had eluded to the fact that Don ‘the ladies’ man’ Lehmer was in sizzling form and he showed it again for his second Sunday victory on the trot with a man of the match 35 points.  Don was one stroke ahead of Barry ‘the book’ Tregurtha and Mogens Melander, the latter having the stronger inner nine to pip Barry for second.

The calculator was out again as Mickey nine holes’ Beresford and Garry Simm were locked on 33 points, this time the odds favored Mickey.

Monday, June 5, Siam Plantation – Stableford

1st Marcus Earp (21) 36pts

2nd Garry Simm (23) 33pts

Today we traveled the short journey to play Siam Plantation and while rain threatened, fortunately it held off.  We teed off on the sugar cane layout which took us just over a hour and a half to complete.  The back nine was the pineapple course and we completed it in about two and a half hours so no hold ups and a great day of golf.

Marcus Earp was man of the match with a fine even par round and was three clear of Garry Simm.

Wednesday, June 7, Siam Warterside – Stableford
