Tuesday, June 13, Crystal Bay – Stableford
We went to Crystal Bay on Tuesday and played the B and C course. It was a nice day with some light clouds and a cool breeze. The course looked really “Crystal”: the fairways and the greens were in good shape, only the bunkers were like concrete but we had an enjoyable game.
Neil Harvey led the way today and is playing consistently well. He won with 33 points ahead of Dave Smith in second with 30, who beat Paddy Devereux on the count back.
The near pins went to Paddy Devereux and Neil Harvey (2).
Thursday, June 15, Greenwood – Stableford
On Thursday we went the long way up to Greenwood where we played the A & B course. It was again a beautiful day with sun, light clouds and a breeze. The course was in very good condition with nice fairways and very good greens.
Today we had a neck on neck race between Dave Smith and Willem Lasonder, both ending with 37 points, but Dave winning on the count back over the last six holes.
Near pins went to Dave Smith, Neil Harvey (2) and Jonathan Pratt.
