Regents International School Pattaya was delighted to be invited by the British Embassy to design a display to showcase the achievements of a British innovator of their choice, for a special Queen’s Birthday Party held at Grant Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok Thursday, June 15.

Led by the Head of Design & Technology, Mr Steve Daly, Regents students set about building a Marble Run to demonstrate Isaac Newton’s Law of Gravity. The finished product represented 40 hours of work and was warmly received by the VIP guests at the Queen’s 91st birthday celebration, including the host, His Excellency the British Ambassador to Thailand, Mr Brian Davidson.

Most comments centred on the design and functionality of the Marble Run and guests were quick to try it out for themselves. The project was a joint one between the Primary and Secondary Schools at Regents.
