Banglamung District and Nong Plalai Sub-district released more than 20,000 fish to revitalize the marine ecosystem.

Soldiers representing the district brought the carp and other fish to the Nong Pladuk Check Dam June 25 where public servants help set them free.

The Nong Plalai release was the last stop on a Banglamung tour that saw more than 200,000 fish released into local waters.

Nong Pladuk is the biggest water source for the sub-district and remains in pristine condition.

The fish were supplied by the Inland Aquaculture Research and Development Center of Chonburi.
