February Diana Seniors and Ladies Open
Those who entered the monthly Diana Seniors and Ladies Open on 24th February were greeted with the news that following heavy rain over recent days it was ‘carts on paths’ only.
This did not deter any of the 53 players who arrived at Pattaya Country Club. This is the largest number for over a year and PCC made some early tee times available to accommodate everyone. ‘Pick and place’ on the fairways was the order of the day.
Once again for this competition it was another truly International field with a number playing for the first time.

There were 10 Ladies with us today and the winner was a ‘returnee’ Chop Daprakhon (13) with 38 points with the runner-up Kannika (28) just a point behind with 37.
The Seniors winner was one of the first time Diana players Kenny Chung (25) with 40 points, with runner-up again just a point behind was Alban Matthiasson (15) with 39 points.
In the Super Seniors Roger Lundberg (15) came in with a fine 40 points to take the winning place with Alan Whittingham (16) runner-up with 37 points.
Near pin prizes were picked up by Chop Daprokham at hole 7 and Andy Galvin on the 16th.
Before the presentation, organizer Nigel Cannon expressed his appreciation to Alan Pearce, who once again worked out all the results, Barry Chadburn who assisted with the registration, and the PCC staff who as usual were efficient and friendly.
All scores are submitted to Pattaya Sports Club.
Note: The next Diana Seniors and Ladies open is on Thursday 24th March at Pattaya Country Club with a tee time of 0900.
