Golf from TPL this week was rather different with 21 players on a 2-day trip to Bankok playing two great courses – Lam Luka and Lotus Valley.
Tuesday it was off to Lam Luka where the course was in excellent condition and the weather was good for golf. We had 4 places in each flight, which were topped by Tony Oakes and Mickey Beresford respectively. Paul Smith took the headlines with a hole in one.
Wednesday, July 19, Lotus Valley – Stableford

Wednesday it was off to Lotus Valley where the course was again in excellent order and enjoyed by all. Steve Mann in division 1 and Jim Dunden in the second flight took the honours for the day.
It was then the drive back to TPL where Mickey, assisted by Dale Shire, announced the results for the technical prizes and the winners for both flights on both days. Thanks to donations from a number of players after the prizes there was some lucky draws – so no one left TPL without something. In addition certain actions were drawn to the organisers and ‘dummy’s’ were awarded – all in good fun!
