An overgrown Chinese teenager threw a tantrum for the ages, requiring police to stop him from running into traffic, allegedly because his mother wouldn’t take him to McDonalds.

Officers arrived outside Baan Suan Lanna on Soi Chaiyapruek 1 July 25 to find the mother of 20-year-old Chi trying to restrain her screaming son from running into the street.

Police spent the next 30 minutes trying to calm the youth.

The mother told officers they were on a package tour and their bus driver stopped to let them buy lunch. She purchased pizza, but the lad wanted a McDonald’s burger.

Told there was no fast-food outlet near them, he threw a tantrum and threatened to kill himself.
