Registration is now open for the 26th Pattaya Marathon.
City hall and Chonburi Province opened the registration center on Pattaya Beach at Central Road on Aug. 7. Registrations also are being taken online at PattayaMarathon.go.th or Pattaya. go.th. For more information, call 038-253-127 or the Pattaya Contact Center at 1337.
As usual, registration for the race is dual-priced for Thais and foreigners. Thai nationals will pay 800 baht for the full 42.2-kilometer marathon, 600 baht for the half-marathon and 400 baht for a 10.6-kilometer mini-marathon.
Foreign registration is priced in U.S. dollars, at $60 (about 2,100 baht) for the full marathon, $50 (1,700 baht) for the half-marathon and $30 (1,020 baht) for the mini-marathon.
There also will be a free 3.7-kilometer “fun run” and wheelchair race. Wheelchair racers must register with the Redemptorist Vocational School for Persons with Disabilities at 038-716-627 ext 6314.
The marathon will run from 3:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on September 3 with the starting line on Beach Road at Central Road and the finish line on Beach Road at Central Festival Pattaya Beach.
