Pink Polo heads to Pattaya this weekend

The Queen’s Cup St. Regis ‘Pink Polo’ tournament will be held at the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club in Pattaya on Saturday, November 17.

Now in its 4th year, this much loved ladies tournament will bring together top female players from many countries who will compete on horseback for the 2012 Queen’s Cup whilst at the same time helping to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.  

In addition to the sporting activities, Queen’s Cup Pink Polo provides a popular social aspect with guests and spectators enjoying activities for all the family, including games at the sponsors’ pavilions, pony rides for the children, a fashion show on horseback, kids’ polo lessons and a junior polo match.

Jointly organized by Ninthinee Tanner, Thailand’s First Lady of polo and co-owner of the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club, and Dr. Kris Chatamra, founder and director of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, the event stresses pink as the colour of the day with the clubhouse all decked out in pink.  Spectators are encouraged to wear pink to show their support for the fight against breast cancer.

A wide range of refreshment and food outlets will be on site to cater to spectators needs along with stalls selling the latest in polo fashion attire and commemorative products.

The event kicks off at 2.30 p.m. with guest registration and high tea, followed by the fashion shows and children’s activities.  The main polo match will take place between 5-6 p.m. followed by the trophy presentation.
