LOEI, Nov 15 – Temperatures at Phukradueng National Park in this northeastern province dropped dramatically to 14.5 degrees Celsius this morning.

Phukradueng National Park chief Sanong Kaewamphai said Thai and foreign tourists have flocked to visit the park, enjoying spending time with both the cold weather and nature.

He said facilities have been provided for travellers including restaurants and accommodations, both bungalows and tents for camping.

Mr Sanong asked visitors to help reduce the amount of litter and garbage and try not to carry their own food there, as restaurants offer food at reasonable prices.

The Loei meteorological office forecast a strong high pressure system on Saturday covering upper Thailand, resulting in cold weather and strong winds in the area.

The highest temperatures measured at other national parks in Loei’s nearby districts are 14-18 degrees Celsius.
