Thai racecar driver Tor Graves donated the suit he wore behind the wheel during an October race to the Pattaya Orphanage for a charity auction.

Born Sriachavanon Graves, the driver was part of the British team that placed second in the Le Mans Prototype 2 class in this year’s FIA World Endurance Championships.

Proceeds from the auction will be used to buy Christmas gifts for 160 children at the orphanage. “I am continuing the tradition of my father, Bob Graves, who loved and always helped children there for more than 25 years.”

The suit is comprised of jumpsuit, gloves and shoes, with all three pieces autographed, that Graves wore in while participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He was the first Thai to complete the race circuit and first to participate since 1954.

Pattaya Orphanage Director Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak said the children were “lucky to receive this opportunity” and, with Graves’ help, more people may learn about the orphanage’s mission.
