The U.S. government is offering a space exploration learning scholarship for Thai adolescents for the second year.
U.S. Ambassador to Thailand Glyn Townsend Davies said the scholarship is part of a project to search for future Thai astronauts. The project is a collaboration between the U.S. Space and Rocket Center’s Liaison Office, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and relevant organizations in the private sector.
Scholarship winners will represent Thailand to study a 10-day primary space exploration intensive program at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center’s Liaison Office at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. The winners will also receive an undergraduate scholarship to study at any faculty of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
Those who are eligible for the scholarships must be a Thai national aged 14 years old and up but not over 19 years old as of the application date. This year, there is another scholarship from “est” for students aged 12 – 30 years of any nationality. Applications can be made on www.spacecampthailand.com from now until 15 October 2017.
