Tuesday, Oct. 24, Crystal Bay – Stableford
On Tuesday we played Crystal Bay B & C courses, which were in quite good condition despite all the rain in the night. We had some good results and Paddy Devereux and Jonathan Pratt kept each other in balance until the last hole. Paddy won this time with 41 stableford points to Jonathan’s 40.
The near pins went to Tim Holland and Jonathan.
Friday, Oct. 27,
The Emerald – Stableford
We skipped our normal Thursday game and played on Friday at the Emerald. The course was in reasonable condition but on some fairways the grass was still too long and the greens were difficult – some were fast and others very slow. But it was a beautiful sunny day with a blue sky and a strong breeze.
You should think that we could make some good scores, but unfortunately we had none. The winner was Dave Smith with 31 points, one ahead of David Lusha in second while Martin Hayes took third with 29 points.
The near pins were claimed by Dave Smith and Martin Hayes.
