The weather was cool, with an overcast sky and the threat of rain as we left for the course. On arrival, the threat of rain remained and throughout the course of the round very light drizzle fell occasionally but not heavy enough to make any difference. The course was in excellent condition except for two or three tee boxes that had been heavily sanded.
For the most part, scoring was on the low side with three players tied on thirty-one points having to be separated on count-back. The winner on the day, despite a big stumble on the front nine with three one-pointers and a wipe, was Michael Brett who got it together on the back nine to take the honors with thirty-nine points.
Tuesday, Nov. 14, Kabinburi Sports Club (Day 1)

The combination of top-class food and accommodation, an A grade golf course, and an unbelievable price was sufficient to lure forty-six golfers from The Bunker Boys, The Golf Club, and an assortment of golfers from the Dark Side to Kabinburi for a two day two-ball better-ball competition.
The drive to Kabinburi was uneventful for most and all participants arrived at the course on time for their appointed tee off time. Rumours that the course was wet proved unfounded, as always it was in superb condition, nevertheless just to be sure the ‘pick, clean, and place’ rule was implemented from the start and was used over the two days.
Play was at a good pace for the leading groups, but for some reason, there were gaps between the later groups with the final groups finishing in very poor light. After close of play all retired to the Serenity Spa and Resort where the host Olivier Daniel laid on a wonderful barbeque for all to enjoy after which the prize ceremony was completed.
There were some amazing scores achieved on the day both from individuals and teams and some of the near pins were very close. The team winners on the day were Paul Hack and Dave Stockman with an unbelievable score of forty-eight points. The individual winner was Paul Hack with forty-three points.
Wednesday, Nov. 15, Kabinburi Sports Club (Day 2)

The second day of competition required an early start in order to have play completed and players back to Pattaya for 7.00pm prize presentation. The weather was superb if a little on the hot side so carts were appreciated by most if not all.
The course was again in perfect condition but the green speed tripped up a few people. A mixed bag of scores was recorded with many golfers in the high twenties to low thirties. The winner on the day had a purple patch and recorded a high score of forty points, good on this long tricky course, Jimmy Carr was not far behind with thirty-eight points. The overall team prize for the two days went to Paul Hack and Dave Stockman with a fabulous score of ninety-two points.
The two-day event was organised by Neil Carter and Olivier Daniel who put in a tremendous amount of work to make the event run like clockwork. Favourable comments could be heard about all aspects of the event from the standard of accommodation and food at Serenity Hotel and Spa to the golf course who were very accommodating and helpful.

A field of twenty fronted up for the last game of a busy week for the Bunker Boys. The venue was Crystal Bay, a course considered by many to be one of the easier tracks we play with a score in excess of forty points required to win.
Today was somewhat different with Takeshi Hakozaki enjoying home course advantage taking the honors with thirty-seven points. Dave Gow continued his recent good form with thirty-six points, and Geoff Parker brought up the rear in the A Flight with thirty-five points.
In the B Flight, Jimmy Carr took the honors with thirty-seven points off an eighteen handicap, a cut may be overdue. Second, went to Eddie Kelly with thirty-five points and Tony Messenger brought up the rear with thirty-two.
