The Grand Sole Hotel enlisted the help of a city crane operator to help in its building-wide renovation.
The 53-meter-tall crane was used to remove a decorative façade from the 11th floor of the Second Road hotel. The 5-meter-long decoration was deemed a safety hazard to those below and its Feb. 24 removal helped the hotel update its appearance.
Grand Sole management last month began a facility-wide renovation, both inside and outside the hotel. However, the hotel was unable to service its top floor alone, so it requested assistance from the Pattaya Protection and Disaster Relief Department, which has a giant construction crane.
Despite the ongoing construction, the hotel remains open for business.
