Pattaya employees were shown how to better harness technology to improve promotion of tourism events at a city hall symposium.
Deputy City Manager Wuthipol Charoenpol opened the Dec. 18 workshop for 45 civil servants working in tourism, sports, culture, arts and public relations.
Capt. Sakorn Phodam, who presided over the government’s Thailand’s 4.0 program, briefed the group on the program’s strategy to raise the country’s technical prowess and how to leverage it to make Pattaya a “smart city”.
Dr. Apichai Somboonpakorn then gave an overview of operating in today’s high-tech world, the environment and the economy.
Participants were shown how advanced technology works, how it can help develop a variety of departments and support business or city management.
Workers also were taught how to use a variety of apps to keep up to date with innovations and database analytics.
