The Thailand Triathlon Tour series hit the Eastern Seaboard on December 9-10 for the Toyota Sattahip Triathlon 2017, held at Viharn Sien, near Khao Chee Chan mountain.
The event, which included a full distance triathlon and a run-bike-run duathlon, proved to be very popular with athletes and attracted more than 3,000 multi sports competitors across the whole weekend.
The triathlon course included a 1500m swim, a 40km/20km cycle on the unique roads and a challenging 10km/5km running course. The athletes were split into a multitude of age and gender related categories which gave everyone a fighting chance of a place on the podium.
The winner of the Overall Men’s title was Eric Watson while Eumear Mullan took the Women’s Overall. Jadorn Jiernai was first across the line on the Thai Men Elite (Overall) category and Saenluethai Aransri took gold in the Thai Female Elite Overall.
