A Plutaluang coffee shop that tried to stimulate business by featuring a scantily clad model in its social media posts was slapped with a public indecency charge.
Prasong Sukorn, the 50-year-old owner of Coffee on Day was summoned to the police station Feb. 5 after photos of two models whose ample bosoms were covered only by an apron went viral.
The shop on Route 332 had just opened and Prasong took a friend up on an offer to have her and a friend pose for sexy photos to give the new coffee shop a lift.
It was all fun and giggles until prudish keyboard warriors expressed their displeasure and the matter landed on the police blotter.
Prasong apologized and removed the photos and paid a small fine. The models also face 1,000 baht fines, but had not finished their coffee break to do so as of press deadline.
