East Pattaya residents said they want garbage and illegal billboards removed, stray dogs rounded up, and a crackdown on speeders and double-parkers.

Residents from the Soi Khao Talo 1-2 Community voiced their complaints during a meeting with Banglamung and Nongprue officials at the Wat Boonsamphan Child Development Center March 4.

The meeting was part of the local government’s “economic sustainability project” where officials visit communities to organize services and hear grievances.

The residents raised six major areas of concern: efficient and polite garbage collection, removal of signs blocking sidewalks, regulation of parking on Soi Khao Talo, the roundup of stray dogs, and help from the Surveillance and Rapid Response Team to stop motorists from speeding through their neighborhood.

Residents also used the opportunity to register for welfare payments, register newly born children, get help marketing their locally made products and get information on health care and tourism.
