Darul Ibadah Mosque raised nearly a million baht at its Holy Friday of Faith fair.
Former Culture Minister Sonthaya Kunplome and Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization President Wittaya Kunplome opened the April 6-7 event featuring booths selling halal food, locally made products and clothing.
Iman Farrukh Maneewong said the fair is organized for the children and to create closer relations between parents and teachers. Preschool and kindergarten children from Islam Suksa School performed for the crowd.
The mosque also presented certificates to sponsors, many of whom donated again. In the end, the fair raised 944,850 baht.
